Accessibility Statement

We want every dog owner to be able to use Hav Hub, and we treat accessibility as part of the product, not an afterthought. This page describes honestly what works today, what we have tested, and where the gaps are.

What we do

• The app is built on Flutter with a full semantics tree: buttons, fields, and lists carry accessible names and roles. Our automated test suite drives the entire app exclusively through this semantics tree — if a feature cannot be operated through assistive technology metadata, our own tests fail.
• Server-rendered pages (this page, the manual, and the legal pages) are plain semantic HTML: headings, lists, and links, readable at any zoom level and usable without a mouse.
• The color palette is chosen for readable contrast on light backgrounds.
• The interface works at standard browser zoom levels and on small screens.

Known limitations

• The map is the heart of Hav Hub, and map interactions (panning, long-pressing to create a walk) are inherently visual. Core information shown on the map — nearby dogs, walks, requests — is also available through list views and notifications, but we have not yet completed a full screen-reader walkthrough of the map itself.
• We have not yet completed a formal audit against SI 5568 / WCAG 2.1 AA. Automated checks and semantics-driven tests run continuously; a manual assistive-technology review is planned.
