Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run a map-based dog-owner community, we never sell data, others never see your exact location, and you can delete everything.
| Data | Where it comes from | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Name, email, profile picture | Your Google/Facebook sign-in | Identify you to other users; contact you about your account |
| Dog profiles and photos | You | The core of the product |
| Approximate location | Your device, only while you share | Show nearby dogs and walks |
| Walks, contacts, messages | You | Provide those features |
| Basic technical logs | Your browser | Keep the service running and secure |
| Anonymous usage totals | Our servers | Plan capacity and monitor service health |
We do not collect advertising identifiers, we run no third-party trackers, and we do not sell or rent personal data.
We keep aggregate counters on our servers for walks created, nearby map searches, and daily active users (distinct signed-in accounts with any activity per UTC day). These are totals only — no third-party analytics SDKs, no per-user profiles sold or shared, and no advertising identifiers. Operators view them through our internal OpenTelemetry monitoring.
Data is stored on our servers (currently hosted in the EU) in our database. Sign-in is processed by Google Firebase Authentication (Google LLC), which processes your provider profile per its own terms. Photos are stored on our servers.
Your data stays until you delete it or your account. Server logs rotate on a short schedule. Deleted data is removed from the live database immediately; backups expire within 30 days.
You can access, correct, or delete your data. Deleting your account removes your profile, dogs, photos, presence, walks you organized, contact links, and messages you sent. See Data deletion for the exact steps.
If you are in the EU/EEA, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. The legal basis for processing is the performance of the service you signed up for (contract) and our legitimate interest in keeping it secure.
Hav Hub is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly process children's data; if you believe a child uses the service, email info@hav-hub.com and we will remove the account.
We'll post changes here and update the date above.
