How to use Hav Hub

Hav Hub helps you care for your dog in one place: a private care checklist, useful places on the map, and optional ways to connect with other owners. Everything below takes a minute or two. Each section of this manual is covered by an automated scenario test — if the manual says it, the test suite proves it.

Sign in

1. Open hav-hub.com and tap Open Hav Hub.
2. The app opens in Hebrew by default. Use the language button in the top bar to switch between Hebrew and English.
3. Choose Continue with Google (primary sign-in today). **Continue with Facebook** appears only when that provider is enabled after Meta app go-live — see firebase-setup.md.
4. That's it — you land on the map. No forms, no passwords.

Your name and picture come from the account you signed in with. You can sign out any time from the top bar.

Add your dog

1. Tap the paw icon in the top bar to open My dogs.
2. Tap Add dog — only a name is required.
3. Add a photo with the camera button on your dog's card (up to 5 MB).
4. Breed, size, a short bio, and temperament tags are optional and can be added later.

You can add more than one dog.

Care inventory

Track what keeps your dog well — private to you, no other users can see it.

1. From My dogs, tap the inventory icon on your dog's card (or open Care inventory while editing a dog).
2. The Core section lists vet, insurance, food, and vaccinations. Empty rows show Missing — add; tap a row to fill it in.
3. Use the category chips under More (walker, leash, treats, other) or Add item for anything else.
4. Vaccinations can include a Renew by date. Delete an item any time — core rows flip back to missing when you remove them.

Share your area and find dogs nearby

1. On the map, flip the Share my area switch.
2. Nearby dogs appear as green paw pins. Tap a pin to see the dogs (with optional temperament tags), and their owner.

Privacy, plainly:

• Sharing is off by default and always your choice.
• Others never see your exact spot — only an approximate area (moved by about 150 meters).
• Sharing stops automatically after an hour without activity.
• Owners without dogs don't appear on the map.

Walks

Walk pins are optional — turn on the Walks layer toggle on the map (bottom right) to see and join group walks nearby. Dog pins are always visible when owners share their area.

• Join: walk pins are amber. Tap one to see when it starts and who's coming, then tap Join walk.
• Create: press and hold anywhere on the map, name the walk, pick a time (now, in an hour, in three hours, or tomorrow morning) and create it. Creating a walk turns the layer on so your pin appears at the meeting point.
• Walks show as upcoming, then active when the start time arrives, and leave the map when they're done. The organizer can end or cancel a walk.

Connect and chat

1. Tap a dog pin and hit Request contact.
2. The other owner sees your request under People (the people icon in the top bar) and can accept or decline.
3. Once accepted, you can chat. Unread messages show as a badge.

No one can message you without your consent, and declining a request is silent — the other person is not notified.

Block someone

1. Tap a dog pin to open the owner's profile.
2. Tap Block user — you stop seeing each other on the map, in walks, and in chats.
3. To unblock, open Help and legal in the top bar, choose **Blocked users, and tap Unblock** next to their name.

Your data

• Sign out any time from the top bar; your dogs and chats are waiting when you come back.
• To delete your account and data, see the instructions at hav-hub.com/data-deletion.

Tips

• Install Hav Hub on your phone: in your mobile browser choose Add to Home Screen — it works like an app.
• The map works without sharing your area; you'll see dog-friendly places and walks only when their layers are on, not nearby dogs.

Services

1. On the map, turn on the Services layer toggle (bottom right).
2. Service pins appear by category (vet, groomer, park, trainer, store).
3. Tap Add service to submit a new dog-friendly spot at your map center.
4. If a similar place exists within about 50 meters in the same category, you'll get a warning before adding.
5. Turn the layer off to hide service pins; dogs are unaffected.

Lost dog alerts

1. On the map, turn on the Lost dog alerts layer toggle.
2. Active alerts appear as prominent red pins and in a banner at the top.
3. Tap Report alert to post a lost, found, or sighting alert at your map center.
4. Nearby users with the layer on see active alerts in-app (no push in v1).
5. When your dog is home, open the alert and tap Mark reunited — the community celebrates with you.
6. Resolved alerts disappear from the map and banner.
